Hi Joe,

I can't believe we haven't bumped into each other yet. Hopefully one day soon!

Thanks for the mention and the subscribe.

But beware, the latest theme on craphammer appears to involve me in various forms of undress. oy.

Joseph,

Thanks for pointing this out originally. As you can see from the trackback, I've started keeping track of the top 30 Canadian advertising and marketing blogs, according to AdAge's Power 150.

I'll try and figure out a way to turn it into a widget that we can all keep on our blogs.

Hi Dino,

Good point. I ran out of time with this post. I'm doing another now to capture the "Next 150." And I just noticed that since I wrote this post, Chroma is now in the top 150. Congrats. You're charging up the charts!

Hi Joseph - thanks for the mention, and glad you found us. I agree, the Power 150 has been a great resource for finding new and interesting opinions. And a nice validation that we're doing something of value too! I'm a sucker for a list, especially when we're on it.

You raise an excellent question regarding why more agencies aren't doing this. We've certainly seen a lot of value in it, I can see you have as well. Part of it is I suspect that the things that make an individual a good blogger - openness, generosity, opinionated, and quick to respond - are hard for many companies to figure out how to do. In fact, they scare many companies. But of course, they're important qualities for an organization in today's world.

I wrote about this a bit last year - http://lbtoronto.typepad.com/lbto/2006/09/why_dont_more_a.html - but I'm also interested to hear if you have any ideas why more companies aren't, and if you think they should.

Hi Mitch,

Look down a little farther and you'll see that I'm there as well. I didn't mention myself in this post because I wanted to draw attention to others. ;-)

Joe,

You're an officer (and a Gentleman) and I appreciate the kind words (I'm sure Seth Godin does as well ;). My guess is if you let Mr. And at the Power 150 know about you (like I had to do a couple of weeks ago), you'll see Pro PR on the list as well.

Trust me.
